ello! I am currently a Directed Studies Student at the MI lab. Last year I had the privilege of working with graduate student Omran Safi, assisting with his “ongoing experiences in virtual reality” study. Here, we aimed to understand if the effects of associated memory can be replicated in VR when not using recognition memory tasks alone. During the summer semester I continued as a directed studies student and learned about data analysis and creating a research report. This year I will be working with Victoria Wardell to learn about the AI (Autobiographical Interview) and R coding to further research how personal memories influence self-schemas and mental health. Outside of the lab and my undergraduate studies I compete as a varsity athlete for the UBC women’s volleyball team and enjoy spending time with my puppy, Milo.
