My personal research interests lie with understanding the differences between neutral, emotional, and traumatic autobiographical memories. Through the integration of clinical psychology in the future, I am interested in looking at possible developmental, biological, and social factors that lead to clinical vs. non-clinical responses to trauma and how this affects the memory of past traumatic events and future unrelated autobiographical events. I am also interested in the differential experiences of repetitive trauma (as can be seen in complex PTSD) vs. a singular traumatic event (PTSD) on memory processes and health. In my spare time I am an indoor plant hobbyist and love to bother my cats, Gus and Gilbert.
